Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (βAUPβ) describes activities that are prohibited on Scutex services. It is part of our Terms of Service. We may update it to address new forms of abuse.
1. Prohibited content
- Content that is illegal under applicable law, or that infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) β reported to the relevant authorities without notice.
- Malware, viruses, ransomware, phishing kits, or content designed to harm or deceive.
- Content promoting violence, terrorism, or unlawful discrimination.
2. Prohibited activities
- Spam & bulk mail β sending unsolicited email, operating open relays, or violating anti-spam laws (e.g. CAN-SPAM, GDPR/ePrivacy).
- Network abuse β denial-of-service attacks, unauthorised port scanning, intrusion attempts, or interfering with other users or systems.
- Fraud β phishing, identity theft, carding, or use of stolen payment methods.
- Resource abuse β sustained activity that degrades shared infrastructure beyond your planβs fair limits.
- Unauthorised mining β cryptocurrency mining is only permitted on plans that explicitly allow it.
3. Email policy
You are responsible for the email you send. Recipients must have consented or have a lawful basis to be contacted. We may rate-limit, filter or block mail to protect our IP reputation and other customers.
4. Security & vulnerabilities
You must keep your applications patched and must not knowingly run insecure services that endanger the network. If you discover a security vulnerability in our platform, please report it responsibly to support@scutex.io; we will not pursue good-faith researchers who follow responsible-disclosure practices.
5. Reporting abuse
To report abuse originating from our network, email abuse@scutex.io with logs and timestamps (including time zone). We investigate all reports.
6. Enforcement
We may remove content, rate-limit, suspend or terminate services that violate this AUP. Where practical we give notice and an opportunity to remedy, but severe violations (such as active attacks, CSAM, or threats to the network) may result in immediate action without notice.
